Human Rights Congress for Bangladesh Minorities (HRCBM) is deeply concerned about the safety and security of Ms. Aroma Dutta, Director of PRIP Trust (a reputed NGO involved in humanitarian and social works in Bangladesh), a prominent minority woman and a human rights activist. It is also noted that she is the daughter of Late Dhirendranath Dutta, a pioneer of Bengali nationalist movement and a former member of the parliament (MP) of the then Pakistan National Assembly. Ms. Aroma Dutta came to New York, on the 30th of April 2004, on invitation to appear as a witness at the hearing on repression of religious freedom in Bangladesh organized by the USCIRF (US Department of State), and chaired by Congressman Joseph Crowley. She is scheduled to leave NY today, the 4th of May 2004, and return to her homeland, Bangladesh.

Winning the law suit with General Safiullah where High Court verdicted to maintain the historic locations at Sarwardy Uddyan and all over Bangladesh. Dr. Mamoon's courage will be a mile stone in the history of Bangladesh. His achievement will be a part of our history and the best thing after the liberation of Bangladesh. |

Over 200 episodes of this popular radio program Chorom Potro have been broadcasted from Swadhin Bangla Betar Kendro during the 1971 Liberation war of Bangladesh. M. R. Akhter Mukul has himself composed and moderated almost all those masterpieces of Chorom Potro . He took the news bulletin of every days happening, spoke with freedom fighters and ornamented his satiric text with a special vocabulary of very famous accent of native Dhaka, which has given to the people not only a satiric entertainment but also an impulsive inspiration to the freedom fighters to win the liberation war.
